Whitney Braswell Fedor, DPT, PRPC Clinic Director | Regional Director
Dr. Fedor earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2012. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Psychology/Biology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2009. Whitney has advanced training in pelvic health with a Pelvic Rehab Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through Herman and Wallace education. Also Whitney has been dry needling since 2014 with a KinetaCore certification for needling of the full body and pelvic health specific impairments.
Whitney has a specialized interest in treating pelvic health patients’ women, men and pediatrics where she has been serving the greater New Orleans area since 2015. Whitney is a new mother herself where her desire to help enhance the treatment of pelvic floor impairments was only fostered following the birth of her son.
Whitney enjoys doing anything outside especially water related and spending time with her friends, husband, son, and dog.
Sonia Saini, PT, DPT, OCS Physical Therapist
Sonia graduated from the University of California San Francisco’s Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy in 2014. She worked primarily in a variety of outpatient orthopedic settings and did Travel Physical Therapy throughout her home state of California before recently settling in Louisiana. She is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) and special interests/patient populations are balance and fall prevention, strengthening post cancer treatment, concussion management in addition to orthopedic and sport-related injuries. Sonia is interested in the psychology of patient care and makes sure to address the mind as well as the body as it relates to injury. Her rehab focus is to help patients be as independent as possible by putting them in the driver’s seat of their recovery journey through a combination of evidence-based clinical education, movement science principles, manual therapy techniques, and preventative measures for long term health and wellness.When she is not in the clinic she enjoys running, hiking with her dog, baking, and traveling. She is excited to be a part of the New Orleans community and help you get back to your best self!
Heidi Ferry Office Manager
Heidi received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in biology from William Carey University in 2012. Heidi has worked in healthcare in various capacities for over 20 years, with special emphasis on insurance and billing. She has worked for Therapydia since the Greater New Orleans area clinics were first established 7+ years ago. Heidi is happily married and has seven wonderful children. She and her husband are parents to two rescue dogs, River and Yet, and four cats, Velveteen, Breezy, Bleu, and Luna, who they love like children.In her free time, Heidi enjoys watching true crime television shows with her husband, Eric, as well as cooking and baking. However, her favorite guilty pleasures are Hallmark Christmas movies and reruns of Friends and the Golden Girls.
Layne Lockwood, PT, DPT Physical Therapist
Dr. Layne Lockwood is a residency trained Physical Therapist specializing in the field of Orthopedics. Dr. Lockwood’s practice is focused on utilizing a patient centered approach combining research-based practice with his patient’s goals to optimize function regardless of their current physical condition. Dr. Lockwood attended LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana receiving his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Human Movement Science. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from LSU-Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. After receiving his degree, he elected to pursue a Residency at LSU Health Shreveport where he received speciality training from other Board-Certified Specialists and worked collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based care for patients resulting in improved outcomes. Dr. Lockwood is trained to treat all orthopedic conditions and injuries with a special interest in post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and low back/neck pain.Outside of his practice, Dr. Lockwood enjoys weightlifting, Saints and LSU Football, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Ashley Davis Office Coordinator
Originally from Seattle, WA Ashley relocated to New Orleans, LA in January of 2021. While Ashley misses hiking among many other outdoor activities, she enjoys the culture Metairie, Louisiana. She loves frequenting the French Quarter for shopping, checking out the museums and being close to Mississippi beaches. She enjoys painting, reading, and trying new places to eat. She takes her dog Chiweenie to the dog park a couple times a week and enjoys walking at City Park. She also loves that there is so much to do here in New Orleans.
Janie Irvin, PT, DPT Clinic Director
Janie graduated from Louisiana State University’s Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy in 2016. She has worked in an outpatient orthopedic clinic since graduating where she has treated a variety of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. Since graduating she has received several certifications to enhance her skill set, such as Graston Provider, LSVT BIG Certification to treat Parkinson’s Disease, Functional Dry Needle Certification, and Level 1 Schroth technique Certification to treat scoliosis in adolescents. Janie’s special interests/patient populations range from strengthening and balance related to Parkinson’s Disease, core and postural strengthening to prevent scoliosis progression in adolescents, and post-operative rehab following rotator cuff repair, total knee/hip arthroplasty, and any sports related injury.
Janie also enjoys developing relationships with her patients and empowering them to take control of their rehab and healing. Using a combination of evidence-based clinical practices, manual therapy techniques, and exercise education, it is Janie’s goal for her patients to return to the activities they love while educating them on ways to independently maintain progress at home.
When Janie is not in the clinic, she also enjoys running outside, traveling, hiking, SCUBA diving, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband, Brandon, and dog, Luna.
Trevor Simon Office Manager
Trevor grew up in the small town of Vacherie, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Louisiana State University A&M where he specialized in child and adolescent development. Since completing his degree program, Trevor has become a Louisiana Medicaid and Affordable Care Act of 2010 expert. He has worked in the healthcare field in various capacities within patient access and the medical revenue cycle. He brings over 10 years of healthcare and insurance billing expertise to Therapydia. His previous experiences have made him a strong healthcare support professional with outstanding customer services skills in both patient-facing and non-patient-facing settings.
In his spare time he enjoys reading murder mystery novels, playing Nintendo video games, and spending time with his dog, Aero.
