Weighing In On Wednesday
What does “physical wellness” mean to you? We are curious because the word wellness itself is getting quite a bit of use lately. In short, physical wellness is being mindful of what our bodies need in order to be well. This entails physical activity, nutrition, and mental well-being. And without one, the other two cannot sustain total physical wellness on their own. We need to be active at a minimum of 30 minutes a day, this can be broken up into smaller intervals. Something as simple as three 10 minute walks. But without proper nutrition, our bodies will not want to move. When we exercise, our brains release “feel good” endorphins which are great for our self esteem and sharpen our thought processes. Small simple changes in our every day lives can and WILL have a huge impact in how we feel as a whole person! So now tell us, what does “physical wellness” mean to you?
